Celebrate the memory of John Harrington, an avid cyclist and firefighter.
The John Harrington Memorial Bike Ride is held each year in memory of John, an avid cyclist and North Shore Firefighter who died tragically on May 27, 2004 while riding his bicycle to work. His friends, colleagues and family honor his memory by retracing the route he rode to his firehouse. Beginning at South Shore Park, to his duplex in Bay View, through downtown Milwaukee, along the lakefront, and ending at his assigned fire station in Shorewood. After a brief rest and light refreshments, most riders retrace the route and end up at the Milwaukee Ale House to raise a glass in his honor. The ride is easy, enjoyable and a great chance to catch up with friends. (Ride for John Poster)
Registration fee is $ 15.00 and helps to make the lives of the Burn Survivors of Wisconsin a bit brighter through the Wisconsin Burn Survivors Network.
Saturday May 2 8th, 2011.
The ride will begin at 10:00 A.M.
